Second anniversary of my mother's death. Feels like yesterday and a century ago at the same time. You can't know the feeling unless you've lost yours, too.

This Saturday would have been my mother's birthday and next Wednesday is the second anniversary of her death. It's going to be a heavy week. I took that day off and plan to spend it in nature. It feels like yesterday and like a hundred years ago at the same time.

By all means, study any language you like. Learning another language is useful in itself, any language will help you widen your horizons and learn to think flexibly. It will also help you improve your own.

Teaching your children your mother tongue is the best thing you can do even if just for the fact that it would be so much more difficult and demanding- financially too- if they wanted to start learning it as adults. Also, bilingual people are smarter. 😉
