🌊Marking 10 years since #StormDesmond🌊 #NaturalFloodManagement has been implemented across #Cumbria which were affected by the #storm. Planting trees, river restoration, leaky dams, even transforming disused reservoirs helps slow & store water upstream which reduces downstream flood peaks.

The 5th and 6th December mark the 10year anniversary of Storm Desmond. 10 years ago today, Storm Desmond hit the UK severely impacting communities across #Cumbria and the #NorthWest region, displacing thousands of people with a total cost to the UK estimated at £1.6 billion.
