Surprise Taro visit today!

Got an email the 19th saying my phones had shipped on the 20th. The tracking number attached to the email was the same already used same number they've sent for everything else. They attached a repair statement pdf that is just a screenshot of their sites log in screen.

Refreshing a dozen tabs of tracking numbers and watching all the gifts I sent get delayed or lost, like that scene from Independence Day where they watch all their missiles on radar disappear before reaching the saucer.

Pet store that moved across the street dropped off a card and coupons at work today. They miss having Taro here almost as much as I do. (Bonus old Taro pics that didn't make the cut for the calendar I was making last week)

A package arrived today marked “extremely urgent” inside was a questionnaire about why my phone needed repair, instructions on how to use the box that showed up 3 days ago, and a printed shipping label. A label with the exact tracking number as the one I printed and shipped last week Tuesday.

I turned the game off early in the 4th quarter...

Still no progress on my phone. Credit card replacement never showed up in the mail. Laptop is blue-screening. 3 different weather alerts in my area. This is not quite the holiday season I was hoping for.

So my phone hasn’t even gotten to the Samsung repair center yet but I just received someone else’s repaired phone?!

Oh cool the label they provided me apparently got their own postal code wrong. I'm never getting my phone back am I?

After a month of searching and thinking I finally made my first purchase for the holidays. It was for dogs. I don’t know that I have enough time left to think of things for humans. I should have asked for lists.

Don't forget to listen to December 14th XXXX while it's still December 14th. This might be my favorite new album of 2025. These kids rule.

Phone won't even get to the repair center for another week. This sucks. Still under warranty so it's free, but If I knew this would be a multiple week issue I would have just paid a local repair place instead.

Sent my phone out for repairs before realizing I should probably have given some people a heads up that I can't take calls or texts for the next few days.

Still sitting under 100 championship points for VGC and the season is like 40% over. Guess I'll let the outcome of this football game decide if I want to pack it in or bear down.

It's candle day AND bandcamp Friday. They couldn't wait until the end of the month? I just paid rent and still need to do all my holiday shopping.

I guess now is as good a time as any to remind people that bandcamp is a great way to not only support artists but also discover music. Some of my favorite albums this year I found playing with the advanced search, and some have criminally low sales for how good they are.

Me Tuesday: I'm not going to cook, clean or do anything this Thanksgiving. I need a break. Me by 11am on Thanksgiving: Well I set up all my holiday decorations, I've almost finished my 2nd load of laundry today and I have 3 things in the oven. I may have forgotten the plan.

Decided not to get a bunch of Thanksgiving food this year. Not sure if it's because last years 3 day power outage right after buying groceries broke me, or if I'm just too exhausted to put in the work. I did get hot dogs and pie and am beyond excited to have a day off from both jobs without travel.

Taro just got picked up and is going back home. I miss him already.

The Mudbay downstairs moved and Taro was confused, but we made it across the street for their grand opening of the new store.

Taro is coming over tomorrow to stay a couple days. I have a freezer full of ice cubes, a bunch of squeaky toys, and his favorite air freshener pluged in. If you don't want a flood of corgi pictures this is your chance to mute me for the weekend.

I've seen next to nothing about the new Kirby Air Riders, but just knowing it exists has had me chanting "Kirby! Kirby! Kirby!" in my head for the last couple weeks.

The zipper on my jacket broke before round 1 started. My luck isn't off to a great start.

Had another 4 way tie for 1st at a PC yesterday where I drew the short straw and didn't get points. I'm now 0-6 at getting CP when tied for 1st I bought some candles next door to cheer me up on the way out. So now I'm broke and on a streak of bad luck. Perfect timing for my first trip to Vegas.

Rotating everything in the cupboard when putting away clean dishes makes me feel like a psychopath, but I won't stop myself. I can't stop myself.

The #1 thing I want for Pokémon Champions is the ability to play anonymously online. I've always used an alt cart to play online. In the DS era it was to avoid scouting, now it's more to avoid getting harassed by streamers and their chats.

Haven't played since the PC last Tuesday. Forgot this is what I was rolling with.

Pretty cool this goes back over a decade. I know ORAS, SV and Sword/Sheild had VGC multiple VGC seasons each, but still surprised they're that high. Almost glad the DS VGC games aren't on here because those were almost certainly 1k hours each.

Won a premier challenge tonight using only pokemon that were used by the Gambler trainer class in Red/Blue/Stadium. So my Vegas team is on it's way.

Played a bit of Ninja Gaiden 4. I'm not sure I'll play more. New mechanics really pushing me away and making me want to just replay Ninja Gaiden Black for the 1000th time instead. Disappointing.

Rough morning at work so I ordered donuts to pick up to make up for my pissy mood. Donut place is in even worse shape. 10 min past my pickup time and they haven't even started it yet. Might not be done before I have to go back.

After nearly 11 months they finally fixed the garage elevator at work. No longer will I have to hold my breath while walking up 2 flights of stairs that are covered in urine and excrement at 1am every Tuesday.

I can't take one more "If you ignore all the technical issues and the way it looks, SV were actually some of the best in the franchise!" takes. Like yeah, it has the best elevator pitch. But if the act of playing or even looking at the game is bad, then it's a bad game! I would argue the worst.

People kept moving my bag so this happened before take off and after landing.

I built 80% of a team before landing but without Seismitoed available in the format I might just be boned. Looking at the previously trained Swift Swim mons I have and deciding between a 2020 Drednaw and Ludicolo, and a 2013 Beartic. Drednaw seems best but the Beartic did top 4 a regional before.

After Pittsburgh I planned to save money and actually practice before Milwaukee. I was mostly successful in the first part, only paying for rent and groceries since then. With the exception of buying Hades 2... and then playing that instead of practicing. At least Milwaukee isn't for another 3 days.

Every time I watch baseball I inch closer to adding necklaces to my wardrobe.
