Won a premier challenge tonight using only pokemon that were used by the Gambler trainer class in Red/Blue/Stadium. So my Vegas team is on it's way.

Played a bit of Ninja Gaiden 4. I'm not sure I'll play more. New mechanics really pushing me away and making me want to just replay Ninja Gaiden Black for the 1000th time instead. Disappointing.

After nearly 11 months they finally fixed the garage elevator at work. No longer will I have to hold my breath while walking up 2 flights of stairs that are covered in urine and excrement at 1am every Tuesday.

I can't take one more "If you ignore all the technical issues and the way it looks, SV were actually some of the best in the franchise!" takes. Like yeah, it has the best elevator pitch. But if the act of playing or even looking at the game is bad, then it's a bad game! I would argue the worst.

People kept moving my bag so this happened before take off and after landing.

I built 80% of a team before landing but without Seismitoed available in the format I might just be boned. Looking at the previously trained Swift Swim mons I have and deciding between a 2020 Drednaw and Ludicolo, and a 2013 Beartic. Drednaw seems best but the Beartic did top 4 a regional before.

After Pittsburgh I planned to save money and actually practice before Milwaukee. I was mostly successful in the first part, only paying for rent and groceries since then. With the exception of buying Hades 2... and then playing that instead of practicing. At least Milwaukee isn't for another 3 days.

Yesterday he visited for the first time in months. He gave me 1 excited sniff, then ignored me because I didn't have food. I'm taking it personally.

I would like the weather to chill out so I can put away the air conditioner and put up Halloween decorations.

It's my first year back, there's over 800 players. Surely my first few rounds will be new players and locals to ease back in.

Okay, Pittsburgh is prettier than I thought.

No sleep, water heater broke so ice cold shower at 2am. Ride canceled last minute so needed to take a $100 emergency cab. Precheck line didn't move for 40 min. But I still somehow made the flight.

No matter what happens, I'm proud of how the Storm played this game.

I hate that the Aces start playing the Sonic drowning music with 16 seconds still on the shot clock. But damned if it's not effective at making their opponents jack up a bad shot early.

I'm not ready, but I'll be around.

If the Storm can stay alive tonight I'll keep running my GC team for Pittsburgh. Otherwise it'll be time for an in-flight rebuild.

Burned myself at work yesterday. Bubbled at the Cup today. Let's see if the Storm can salvage my weekend by beating the Aces tonight.

I am at the final Storm regular season game. It has been a real up and down season and even though it's unlikely they miss the playoffs, it still being possible has me worried.

Skipping tonight's Storm game so that I can work at 3am and try get out early enough to play in a Pokémon Cup tomorrow. Why let a sports team break my heart when I can do it myself, right?

My night job yesterday had 3 floors covered in urine, and my day job this morning had them cleaning a sewer drain in my workspace. I have never felt more justified in my overspending at bath & body works. Walking into my wonderfully scented apartment after work today was so relieving I could cry.

Pokemon shouldn't be able to avoid attacks the same turn they manually switch in. There are few things in this game more deflating than correctly predicting a switch only to miss your attack.

Happy to see a Seattle regional announced, will be nice to have a local one again. A little confused that people seem to be treating Las Vegas being reg H as news even though they confirmed that a month ago.

The Seattle Storm reminding me that no matter how bad my practice is going, it could always get worse.

Have I been able to build a team for reg H that I'm remotely happy with yet? No. But 1 subject notebooks were 30¢ at the store this morning so I'm at least partially prepared for the season to start.

Trying to build for regulation H and this is all I can think about.

I went 9-2 day 1 of worlds. Sure it was sides but that's still more wins than anyone in the main event.

I came through the pokemon center to get the plush Machamp for me and a bunch of things my friends requested. Got nearly everything for friends but didn't see the Machamp.

Had something fly down my back colar and get stuck in my shirt for about a minute. When it finally flew out the waist I saw it was a wasp. Didn't get stung but still entirely unpleasant!

Decided I wanted another hour of sleep instead of getting up at 4am. Big mistake. Would have been a $6 bus to the airport, now a $120 cab ride. I swear it has half that a few months ago.

Packing for worlds and a friend said I should take the oldest Pokémon hat I have. Which would be this from the 90s. It fit when I was 10 but is kinda small now. Can I still pull it off?

I got Storm season tickets a couple years ago to fill the void after stopping VGC. I'm going to take this 5 game skid as a sign that it's time to shift my focus back.
