My relationship ending after 20 years has to be the lowest point of my life. After the crap of the last 10 years, this is just the worst thing I have ever experienced. Worse than cancer, worse than the fire, just the worst. I’m going to get thru this, but I don’t think I can take many more hits.

I tried to buy a new gaming/work PC this morning from @corsair.com to replace the one I lost when my house burned down. First Chase Bank blocked the purchase and while we were on the phone with them, the price of the machine literally went up by over 1k and wouldn’t check out. Thanks Trump.

Today, we are in the local McDonalds parking lots in #Altadena. It’s where FEMA have set up shop. The sense of sadness here is all encompassing, like a real, physical blanket woven purely of despair. Everyone here lost everything.

So Spectrum Internet want my home insurance info to bill for the router that was destroyed when my home was burned to the ground in #Altadena during the #eatonfire What a wonderful way to kick a person when they are down!

30 seconds or so. That’s how long it takes for my brain to wake up in the morning and remind me that our home, block and town is gone. #Altadena was set on fire by SCE and left to burn by LA County officials as ‘collateral damage’ while resources were sent to the Palisades, Hollywood and West Hills.

Got this notification at 4.30 am this morning, turns out it was prophetic. Our house is gone, our street is gone, most of #Altadena is gone in the #eatonfire Just like us, our friends neighbors & thousands more lost pretty much everything overnight. We are heartbroken.

I would never have guessed that NYC was the home of so much royalty. So far I have seen the kings of Donuts, Falafel, Coffee, Waffles, Hot Dogs and Bagels. Who knew?

Spent the last 4 days in NYC and it’s done more to heal my soul than anything ever could, mainly because they are already Xmassing so hard. While I love LA, it just can’t compete when it comes to the Xmas experience.
