W 7 #19 My favorite part was when it presented all different yet similar images on each panel. It was overwhelming yet awesome to try and see everything and understand how they could be linked. I also liked the arial moose chase scene. Gave me a weird sense of panic and survival #ConArtInSitu

W7 #18 This was another part of it I loved. Fading to dark from the red was just plain and simply cool. The whispering and sounds played along into the intense and captivating appeal. #ConArtInSitu

W7 #16 This piece caught my eye as I walked by. At first I didn’t really resonate with it because of the agressive and genderless presentation. But as I sat with it I grew appreciative. The colors are striking and the artists portrays such a queer yet emotional scene. Vry interesting #ConArtInSitu

W7 #15 To continue… Along with representing knowledge and learning. The books present represent racially marginalized cultures and information. Atlas bears the weight of the exclusion of artists of color from much of the normalized world history and US history. #ConArtInSitu

W7 #14 This was another favorite piece. I thought it was both cool and a unique take on atlas from grecco/roman mythology. The story of atlas is one of bearing the burden of the world. But here the world and the burden is represented by books, education and knowledge. #ConArtInSitu

W4.18. Today was the first day I sat with only 1 peice. Incidentally I really didn’t realize till I read the plaques but the sun is a different piece. It fits so well in the background of “the allies” the placement must be very intentional. Truly seems like a abstract nature scene #ConArtInSitu

W4. 17. Really appreciate the warmth and natural emotion of the upstairs. It’s a nice contrast to the darker more sullen energy from Bethany Collin’s down stairs. Exactly what I needed on this beautiful earth day. #ConArtInSitu

W4.16 Now that I’ve sat either some of her pieces I really appreciate the volume in her work. Even with the flowers the paint was raised off the canvas and the aforementioned stiches. I love how physical and real her pieces are #ConArtInSitu

W4.15. Another thing I love about the pieces upstairs is the attention to detail. So far it’s extremely compelling to me in any art. In “the allies” I see it in the stitching. Much alike to the stitching on the boarder of the flowers this added such a nice depth to the piece. #ConArtInSitu

W4.14. While talking about the size I also wanna speak my mind on the idea of shape, and 3rd aspects of statues. When I was younger I was always bored with art that was 2d. Now i always appreciate drawn art but sculptures really captivate me. Maybe that’s why i always fw clay so much #ConArtInSitu

W4.13. My second thought is that physical perspective is so crucial with this piece and many of her works. Lots of her art is so big and detailed that its intention might be to make the onlooker feel connected and immersed. At a minimum I feel that way quite strongly #ConArtInSitu

W4.12 The allies by Ana Maria Hernandez captivated me today. My first thoughts go right to the size. It’s truly the first thing I notiv d when I walked in. THEY ARE HUGE! Love how immersive they are and how small I feel next to them. Our estimate is that they are 11-12 feet tall. #ConArtInSitu
