As a millenial one phenomenon that has always interested me is the “They’ll understand me in Japan” Otaku. I have always wondered how many of them ended up travelling there and how did it go.

I will never understand why ModNation Racers never became a franchise. It was a solid game, offered tons of customization options and had a great soundtrack. This was a great alternative to those who loved Mario Kart but had a playstation.

The comedy network feels like the black sheep of Canadian television, despite multiple originals nothing seemed to stick. I’m curious what people remember from the comedy network or would consider as their flagship show.

Someone recently shared an episode of “Santa Calls” with me. It really reminds me what made YTV so special, programming that was interactive but also played to our sense of wonder and made the world just that much more magical.

A show I wish I could find more footage of is Liography (2001) Liography was a parody of the show biography. The series featured spoofs of celebrities including Eminem, Stephen King as well as Candian figures such as the friendly giant and Ann Shirley. Leslie Neilson hosted as Terrence McKennie.
