It's been quite a few months since Knott's had a weather-related closure of the park. Usually happens in January and February of the year. I don't remember one from fall of 2024.

Encountering the catawampus and the Green Witch at the Calico Origins maze last night at Knott’s Scary Farm. (The line was barely moving, so my taking video was not holding up the line.)

The first half of the Forsaken Lake funeral procession at Knott’s Scary Farm last night. One of the cool things to do at the event that’s not a highly publicized show. Others include the Blind Tiger band and dancers on the balcony of the Walter Knott Theatre and The Gauntlet march and slider show.

The first third of last night‘s royal procession/ slider show in The Gauntlet scare zone at Knott’s Scary Farm. I’ve only seen this once before and had a very bad viewing spot. There’s not a lot of room to watch the show so it’s better to get there 15 or 20 minutes early.

Scary farm closes at 1 AM tonight, but there were a lot of people still in line for ghost Rider. I asked the ride attendant how long it would take to get everyone in line on the ride. She said it was an hour just for the disabled and fast lane line and maybe three hours for the regular line.

The Zoo lights out was posted a 30 minute wait when I got in line around 10:20, but it was actually closer to 20 minutes. Currently in the queue for Mary with a posted 60 minute wait but I suspect it’s actually 20 to 30 minutes.

Not sure about Fridays and Saturdays, but by buying the Boo-fet for Knott’s Scary Farm on a Sunday, I was able to finish eight of the ten mazes by 8 pm (starting at 6:30) and get to the Conjuring show fifteen minutes early for the 8 pm show.

Saw Johnny Ace Palmer for the Conjuring magician show at Knott’s Scary Farm. Did a great job with sleight of hand tricks and a sense of humor in his delivery. I believe it’s a different magician every weekend.

The Bob Baker Marionette Halloween show for Knott’s Spooky Farm is fun as always, plus they’ve added a few new segments this year.

Back at Knott’s Scary Farm, but haven’t caught the daytime Bob Baker Marionette Theater Halloween show yet this year.

So glad that my Brewers pulled off the game 5 win this evening. Especially since that means I won't have to go watch the Dodgers play the Cubs on Monday at Dodger Stadium. Instead we'll see the Brewers play the Dodgers on Thursday, as Milwaukee had a better record than LA this season.

I fell behind and had to rewind the episode, but did anyone notice similarities between Nomad at the end of the episode and HAL in 2001: A Space Odyssey when its programming chips were removed by Frank Bowman? #TOSSatNight

Amazing acting by Leonard Nimoy to make the mind meld with Nomad seem believable and not just silly. As he did with the Horta and countless others. #TOSSatNight

The guys from the Enterprise Incidents podcast, Scott Mantz and Steve Morris, postulate that Spock’s mind melds throughout the original series, from Dr. Gelder and including Nomad, led to Spock’s eventual realization that logic was not enough by the events of The Motion Picture. #TOSSatNight

The control voice of The Outer Limits, Vic Perrin, also does the voice of Nomad. Vic Perrin was also on set every day to do the voice for Nomad. #TOSSatNight

I tried pre-watching The Changeling this afternoon but fell asleep after ten or fifteen minutes. Hoping to stay awake for the next hour— this is a favorite episode of mine. #TOSSatNight

Part of the Margo Rita’s Monster Ball at Six Flags Magic Mountain Fright Fest last night with the characters Margo Rita and Tequila Sunrise.

At Six Flags Magic Mountain for Fright Fest, but here for scare zones, shows, and rides. Might come back on a Sunday or Thursday night for the mazes. Feel like it might be crowded tonight and the pass for mazes is $40. I like the decor of the park for Fright Fest.

At the Alex Theater in Glendale for a special screening of the Talking Heads 1984 concert film Stop Making Sense. Band member Jerry Harrison will be doing a Q & A after the movie.

Can someone recommend Mrs Knott's vs Mrs Murphy's Kitchen for the Boo-fet? Had only good experiences at the Chicken Dinner Restaurant in 2023 and 2024 in early/mid October.

It's been reported that photos & videos are no longer allowed inside Knott's Scary Farm mazes. Last night I was told by employees at the entrances to Mesmer, Eight Fingers Nine, and Bloody Mary last night that I had to put my phone away.

Was told last night that there are no monsters in the Haunt Legacy store at Knott's Scary Farm past about 10 or 10:15. Was there around 11 and heard this from the employee there. If you want to see and meet monsters inside the store, go early.

Back at Knott's Scary Farm for round two in 2025. No Boo-fet today so will see the opening ceremony and probably do mazes in reverse order. Hoping to stay late enough for The Zoo with lights off.

If you're a fan of The Twilight Zone, Arlene Martel ("T'Pring") appeared in the episode "Twenty Two" as a creepy nurse in the morgue. Also in a substantial role in The Outer Limits with Robert Culp as a Mexican American shop employee in "Demon with a Glass Hand." #TOSSatNight

According to the Enterprise Incidents podcast, the Vulcan wedding party was originally scripted to arrive by hovercraft (too expensive), then by motor sedan (😂), then settled on walking and carrying T'Pau on a litter. #TOSSatNight

I believe the young actress playing young T'Pring was fairly sick when she had to take these photos. Also, the production saved money by not creating a Vulcan ear for the unseen side of her face in the photo. #TOSSatNight

Why doesn't every doctor's office have a rotating examination platform like the one in Enterprise's sickbay?

According to The Enterprise Incidents podcast guys, producing this Spock-centered episode and having it be the first aired episode of the 2nd season was a tribute by the producers and network to the popularity of the Spock character among the fandom. #TOSSatNight

Today was the grand opening of the new In 'n' Out restaurant in Monrovia. Been watching the building being constructed for the past six months. Couldn't take the day off so I wasn't the first customer, but my daughter and I did eat there on opening day.

Saw tributes for recently retired Knott's Scary Farm mazes at Chilling Chambers on opening night.

Last night at Knott's Scary Farm, was able to get through all ten mazes plus two brief shows by about 9:30 pm. Then repeated two mazes and visited the Haunt store.

I've had Knott's Scary Farm Boo-Fet only at the Chicken Dinner Restaurant (in 2023 and 2024), but after being directed to Mrs Murphy's (formerly Spurs) inside the park tonight, the seating was very disorganized and the food was not put out adequately.

For anyone attending Knott's Scary Farm tonight, here is the entertainment lineup. The slider show in Camp Snoopy is not confirmed. The late 12:15 Blind Tiger band and dancer show had been cut. The second Forsaken Lake show is now at 11:15 pm.

I was too late to take a video, but Eddie Sotto's Camp Snoopy clock is again making a big fanfare at the top of each hour (well, maybe not during Scary Farm) as it did when the land opened in 1983.

I'm glad to report that the Knott's Berry Farm sign at La Palma & Beach has been repainted to its purple lettering on cream background for the first time since fall 2020.
