A tale of two curries I had at #TokyoDisneyland. I thought the Hungry Bear Curry with rice (Chicken & Beef) was tastier than the Center Street Coffeehouse, Baymax Plate (Chicken and Beef Stroganoff). Obviously, the Baymax one looked cooler. Although, that Mickey egg yolk thing is also pretty neat.

Speaking of Disney Resort buses. Can I share with you the cool buses they have at #TokyoDisney? This was one of the Resort Cruisers we took from the Disney Ambassador Hotel to #TokyoDisneyland I did not realize they have so many variations. We rode in at least three different styles.

Why do the Japanese editions of the Disney books seem so much cooler than what the versions we see in the US? #TokyoDisney

It may not be the most appetizing name for many, but it a cold bottle of it was a life-saver for sure on those hot humid days in Tokyo.

The rooms at Disney Ambassador Hotel were a very nice size and it was filled with thoughtful amenities. Beyond the art deco decor of the Hotel itself, I appreciated it because it didn't seem as busy as the Mira Costa or Tokyo Disneyland hotels. And it's located next door to Ikspiari.

During our stay in Tokyo, I had the opportunity to walk through one of the Roppongi / Minato neighborhoods. This food vendor caught my attention. People were ordering from this take-out—a van parked in the corner of this building with a proper opening and covered awning. Clever.

We picked up this Illustrated map of “Walt’s Los Angeles” highlighting several relevant places to Walt Disney. I first saw this illustration in one of the museum galleries. Thought it was cool. Apparently now it’s available at the gift shop at the @wdfmuseum.bsky.social

Went to the Walt Disney Family Museum for the “Preserving Pixie Dust: Inside the Walt Disney Imagineering Art Collection” presentation. Great insight to how they - Conserve - Capture - Catalog - Curate their artwork. Particularly awesome to see newly scanned artwork of never-created attractions.

We visited the oldest temple in #Tokyo. Sensō-ji in the Asakusa District is a beautiful place, rich in history, originally built in 628 AD. It was rebuilt after WWII. And as busy as it was with tourists, it was nice to still be able to find some quieter spots for reflection.

While staying in the Roppongi district in Tokyo we visited one of the Don Quijote / Donki stores. It's one gigantic, sensory-overload of a store with a various products: souvenir magnets to certified Gucci purses, to hydrating face masks, to hand tools. It's quite the experience. Have you been?

Believe it or not we went to a Big Boy in Tokyo! (Not the same but still enjoyable.) Like a couple of the restaurants we visited: 1. Upon arrival, pull a paper # with a QR code to get seated 2. When # is called, scan the code & get assigned a table 3. Order food by tablet 4. Food delivered by robot

Picked up a pair of glasses from Zoff (Locations all over Japan, this one was at Ikspiari, #TokyoDisney Resort). They can give you an eye exam and fill your single-lens prescription all in about an hour. These were about US $77 (duty free) all inclusive. Amazing. The process was smoother than J!Ns

A look inside the Monsters Inc. factory at #TokyoDisneyland. Could this be a glimpse of what the interior of the entry might look like at Disney‘s Hollywood Studios, WDW?

Every day we took the Disney Resort bus from Disney Ambassador Hotel we would pass by the Oriental Land Company headquarters. I should have known they would be very close to or behind the #TokyoDisney parks.

I don't collect "souvenir medals" but these are the ones I did pick up while at #TokyoDisney — If I happened to have coins, near a machine, and appreciate the design. [And how does anyone take photos of their "pressed pennies"?! It took some effort to get the image on these to be readable. haha]

Heffalumps and Shiriki Utundu(s). Both items I thought were cool but didn't pick up while at #TokyoDisney Resort.

They had some cool "western wear" at Westernland at #TokyoDisneyland Check out the cool Mickey stitching pattern on the Denim Jeans ($?) and Jacket (about $240).

New-to-us at #TokyoDisneyland: When we purchased a Disney Premier Access for the TDEPD you are assigned a spot. What I didn't notice earlier in the day, were these markers on the ground in the viewing areas. Just before the parade, CMs are there to help you find your spot after you arrive.

Appreciate that #TokyoDisneyland's Haunted Mansion (in Fantasyland) has more of an ominous exterior with the overgrown shrubs, bushes, and grass.

We were given some stickers by a couple of different #TokyoDisney shop Cast Members during our trip. I believe the blue one is a new "Sparkling Jubilee" design for the 25th Anniversary of #TokyoDisneySea
