I'm always intrigued by how we approach and judge language tools for Irish, and by the sociolinguistic and technical factors at play. I think a major issue is that many Irish tools are not built for speaker communities, but trained on legal jargon and caighdeán to support mandated translation tasks.

Today I updated wuerzburg.ie to include a lexicon. This collects word forms as they appear in glosses which have been tokenised to date, and links them to appropriate eDIL entries. Future updates will increase both the size and functionality of the lexicon as tokenisation and POS-tagging continues.
