Trump and Vought are now breaking both sides of spending law. They’re illegally not spending where the law requires them to spend, and they’re illegally spending where they don’t have the money to spend. What we have is an appropriations king. Spending “deals” are meaningless under that setup.

Americans have gotten more than $21 billion back in their bank accounts after being cheated and scammed by big corporations, thanks to the CFPB. But Trump and his Administration love grifters and scammers. So they're trying to kill the agency holding them accountable.

A nationwide backlash to AI data centers is brewing. And for good reason: while AI enriches Big Tech CEOs and props up the stock market, data centers are sucking up communities’ water and power. When the AI bubble bursts, the rest of us will be stuck holding the bag. Be warned.

PSA for folks visiting any National Public lands (parks, forests etc) during the shutdown: PLEASE take everything you brought in with you, including trash! Don't leave it in the bins if you can avoid it - those are emptied by National Parks/Forest workers. If they're furloughed that job isn't done.
