Last year, everyone was SO worried about the Packers getting too many turnovers, now they're not getting enough? They're 10th in success rate on defense. If they exclude turnovers -- we're supposed to do that right? -- they're 10th in EPA/play. This defense is good.

Through nearly a quarter of the season, Jordan Love leads the NFL in adjusted EPA/play and CPOE+EPA/play. He's second in EPA/play to Josh Allen. That's WITH a tough performance in Week 3 against the Browns.

So on 2nd-and-6+, the Packers ran the ball 6 times for 24 yards and a TD (nearly all of which came on an 18 yard TD run) They threw the ball 7/9 for 65 yards. Throw the ball.

24 second downs. 12 runs on a night you struggled to run the ball. That’s running for running sake and the Packers didn’t even use play-action off it so there’s no excuse for that. One of the worst passing defenses I’ve ever seen.

Being aggressive is not a guarantee of success. The Lions and Ravens with Lamar haven’t even been to the Super Bowl much less won them with squads that were the best regular-season teams. But you’d rather die by the sword playing to win.

Sean McVay has never been an aggressive game caller and he’s a top 3 coach. Same for Kyle Shanahan. I don’t think Matt LaFleur needs to be Dan Campbell for the Packers to win a Super Bowl. But all three of those guys would benefit from an adjustment in approach.
