The Packers are renovating their training room, but based on a conversation I had with a recent player, the methodology in the training room is what needs updating. The player said every type of injury seems to be treated more or less the same way.

Did a @lockedonpackers.bsky.social about this the other week, but the Packers don’t need freak numbers at DT. In fact most of their picks outside of Wyatt going back to Ted Thompson were more 75th percentile athletes. Especially when it comes to NT which is the position GB needs.

Seems weird but 40 is one of the numbers that correlates for DTs in the NFL. Packers also love broad jump. Devonte Wyatt ran the fastest time ever for a guy over 300 pounds. 86th percentile broad jump for DT. His 1.6 10 split is 99th percentile.

There are almost 30 TEs at the combine this week. About 50% more than we normally see. Not a loaded group at the top but a TON of depth on Day and the Packers could use major depth reinforcements behind Tucker Kraft.

Two names I'd be interested in from the Packers standpoint: Devin Fitzsimmons for the Seahawks. They had arguably the best special teams in the NFL last year. And Jett Modkins fro the Lions. They were top 10 in special teams DVOA the last two years. 1st in 2024.
