Pope Francis worked for underprivileged and minorities his whole life, and also had some very hot takes about our community. His advocacy for those unable to speak for themselves will be missed in a world increasingly separated from nuance and compassion.

A lot of my readers are trans catholics. I understand the terrible things to come out of the Catholic church, for trans people especially. Still, the church moved more towards trans people under his leadership than it has been in the past. I hope the next one embraces full inclusion.
