Trans rights suppression, paradoxically, is not about trans rights. The system of power relies on conformity. It is hard to face the truth; for anyone opposed to trans existence who may read this - the only thing we represent is freedom of existence, and expression. We are people, not ideology.

As we harp incessantly on human rights, and intersectionality, *this is why*. A rights violation, once done against one, may be done against all. The courts have ruled countless times that immigrants enjoy 1st and 14th Amendment rights, yet those same rights are currently being flagrantly violated

This just in: "the equal dignity and humanity of all people" is too extreme for the Trump admin. The chilling effect of fascism is to scare us into submission and self-police.

Digital Erasure is Genocide. What's more, it is the legal and social removal of a class of citizen from governmental and societal support. If you don't recognize trans people, there are no trans hate crimes. If you don't recognize gender diversity, there is no need to provide adequate care.

We reported on this a few days ago, but I want to point out this headline because this is where we are at. A bill in Arkansas would ban gender affirming HAIRCUTS for transgender youth. HAIRCUTS. This is a straight up North Korea state sanctioned hairstyle proposed law for youth.

When we say trans rights are human rights, we don't mean that trans people deserve rights - although they do. We mean that the rights being stripped from transgender people are essential human rights promised to every citizen, and that if they can be removed from one they can be removed from all.
