Hi friends. It's been a rough week and a half for me, but I'm still here. I hope everyone is trying their best to make it through the holidays this year (and not have a meltdown lmfao). I'm kinda looking forward to next year, but I'm keeping expectations low. ❤️‍🩹🖤

I didn't publish 3 books. I didn't draw as much as I'd hoped. I didn't start streaming. I had more rough days than good. I didn't stay consistent. I let my brain win some days. But bro, those goals aren't done. A year doesn't erase them. I'm still reaching. They're still there for you to grasp.

It's December now. Pretty much been a full year. I didn't accomplish even 10% of what I wanted to. But I managed to draft 1 book, and send it to beta readers. Clinging to that W for dear life, taking what I can get. Saying all this to say, hang on to those Ws, big or small. They matter. They count.

Today's art adventure: pixel art! I grew up on old school video games (mostly SNES era) and pixel art makes me feel a lot of things. Joy. Nostalgia. Peace. This was my first time trying it and I'm quite pleased with the results! I took a screenshot because the actual picture is so smol

Another pixel art piece. Wanted to try drawing clouds again, this time in a night sky. Don't ask where the light source is LOL. I drew the clouds first as if the moon was above them, but then decided I wanted a moon behind them, with light coming from the left side. Just... just go with it

So, I FINALLY got to see the first half of 'Hazbin' season 2, and it was actually REALLY good, especially in terms of pacing. I think the fast pace actually worked better this season, because everything happening works well with that.

Things that will make me buy your book: Pretty much all the things Tru said, but also I tend to stick to fantasy books, esp ones with lots of worldbuilding. So even if you're a perfect angel, I'm probably not gonna get hyped about your book if it's not my genre😅 There are exceptions, though!

I once was told I had too many and to cut a few. So I added more. In total, I think throughout this entire series, I have a total of at least 10. Frank and Creg are always together, Rosella and Fenris are mostly together alone, but sometimes with Felan, and Caroline is always with Georgia.

DDLC+ was pretty good! The inconsistent art style between the main story and side stories threw me for a bit of a loop, but wasn't a deal breaker. Also love how there's deep lore regarding the Literature Club now. Planning on Googling explanations soon haha.

I finally got to go to the dentist on Friday. And I'm finally going to get some work done in a couple months. Unfortunately it's not all good news, but at least I know how next year is gonna start. And I know it'll get better too. I've been much quieter on Bsky because I hate social media...

Felt like sharing this ol' thing. This was my boxer, Jerry Lee, the dog who I've dedicated 'Wolf's Red' to. He was the sweetest, snoriest, and most loveable lap dog you'd ever meet, and it's been almost four years now since his passing. I miss him, I'll never forget him, and I'll always love him.
