Panel submissions are open for San Diego Comic-Con and I'm already assembling some fun panels for this year. Looking forward to another fun year with tabletop industry panels, actual plays, game design pitch workshops and networking.

I feel really lucky that I've been able to turn painting miniatures and Warhammer into my job. Warhammer was very much a part of my formative years in the 90s. I used to draw space marines in my school books. And paint wood elves after school! So yeah, thank you to everyone who commissions me 💖🙏

Got to say we @the3dcharles.bsky.social had a blast at our first Unpub Fest 2026. As a designer easily one of the most organized playtesting groups I've seen and lit my heart talking to people who've been going for over a decade just cause they love it. Thanks @unpub.org we will return!

Really nice to get back in armor last night for SCA fighter practice. The weather is just perfect right now and made for a pleasant evening. Great fights and nice to work with folk. Nothing like armor time to help clear your mind and focus on being present.

I was excited to check out LA Wargames in Little Tokyo yesterday. Their shop has been on my Instagram feed for months and it did not disappoint. They carry and host game nights for a diverse variety of indie miniatures games, which is very cool to see. Definitely bought a bit more than I planned.

Wonderful weekend at SCA War of the Phoenix in Arizona. Nice to spend a few days camping with friends and enjoying medieval hobbies. Always good to fight in armor then adventure around at night from camp to camp. Good times all around.

GAMA Expo is right around the corner and Im looking forward to it! Ill be moderating & speaking on a handful of panels, attending a handful of networking events & workshops and catching up with folk. My schedule still has a few openings if you want to line up to meet.

It has been nice to have a bit of extra free time in the past week. Had some great calls today with a couple folk working on their indie miniatures wargames. There are some incredibly creative folk working on such cool projects. Feels like we are on the cusp of a miniatures wargaming renaissance.

Been working on a lot of tabletop programming the past week between GAMA Expo and WonderCon/D4. Great to see the level of panels that are coming together. There are a lot of people doing exciting things in the tabletop space. Glad we can make more opportunities to share knowledge and experience.

One of the coolest things about working at Atomic Mass Games was getting to see all the art and working with iconic characters. The art team absolutely knocked these out of the park and can't wait to see those cosmic characters hit the tabletop.

Very glad I took the time over the holidays to unplug and refresh, but now that we are already in January, its been panel and convention prep. Been working on the panels for D4/WonderCon, along with the panels I'm running at GAMA Expo. Going to be some great programming for those events.
