There is an individual I've known for at least 15 years with whom we've gone through multiple falling outs. Last one was a few months ago. Always tempted to un-block the person. But I am tired of the cycle. Not soliciting advice, sort of publicly journaling I suppose.

"Vague posting," but I have found in my days an inverse correlation between how much a community claims to be "welcoming" and how welcoming it actually is. There is a profound amount of tone policing in "welcoming" places that subsequently results in everyone being extremely passive aggressive.

Got yet another rejection letter today despite having a referral. When a good resume and a referral from a technical lead doesn't even get me an interview with a company, I wonder what the fuck I DO need to do.

As much as I love the iconic curved wickerbeast horns, I opted for simpler horns (and one broken, poor boy) for my new wickerbeast. I just wanted to spice it up. And also removing some tail fluff to make him a "standard" rather than the practically-default king subspecies.

Undergoing a medically significant change, and more clearly realizing that a lot of content I consume is out of habit and not stuff I actually enjoy. What an unexpected outcome.

VOLITION - Subdue the regret. Dust yourself off, proceed. You'll get it in the next life, where you don't make mistakes. Do what you can with this one, while you're alive.
