The Captain saves the day by being the one to get through to someone. Our heroes just make it back before the base is destroyed. Massively tonally different stories with different stakes but it rhymed in my head.

One thing I was struck by listening to Chains of Command. There are shades of the season 1 episode Brothers And Sisters. A long forgotten base down by a trench. The surviving crew have lost their minds. There's a ticking clock. Someone disobeys the chain of command.

Season 3 is good! I understand fans being turned of by a new show wearing their old show's clothes, but on its own merits it is good. And it's like jumping 15 years ahead in television trends in structure and theme overnight.
