Imagine being mad you didn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize while you’re busy stirring up Civil War in your own country.

No one talks about how parenting adult children comes with some of the same pangs as when they were minors. You have to uphold standards and stick to your boundaries. The feelings of "This is going to hurt me more than it hurts you" still comes up.

I want us to collectively stop supporting things/people/companies/brands that show and tell us how they really feel about us. That’s my hope for Black peple.

There was a time last year where I was convinced that I was getting dumber. I was CONCERNED. But I’ve realized that is not the case. It’s just difficult to process the constant onslaught of human and civil rights abuses and still retain the ability to respond. We’re not dumb, we’re traumatized.

All I wanted, coming up to my half century here on Earth, was to make poetry and read poetry, make tea and drink tea, make love and be loved.

If it's possible to do so, the people in Texas who lost loved ones in the flooding should file a class action suit against the government. This tragedy was avoidable and because the government failed them, their loved ones died.

Sometimes I wonder if being in a relationship is worth getting into a heated argument at a party. People get quiet around you, the vibe is essentially ruined until you leave. Then when you leave people are going to talk about how good y'all looked but will take sides on who was right for 30 mins.

We have a bunch of incompetent criminals, alcoholics, and drug addicts running the country. Screaming about criminals and drug addicts invading our borders and DEI crashing the planes. They're looking in the mirror and don't like what they see. Now it's everybody else's problem.

There's a small group of people who couldn't make a dent in voting opposite of this chaos even though 92% of us saw it coming.

So they're just kidnapping anyone with a greencard now? Aunties and grandmas too? These people worked and paid taxes into a system that is now treating them like garbage.

If I have to start paying for checked bags on Southwest, now my consideration for domestic travel just opened up to other airlines. Whoever has the best price wins. That's too bad.

Friday night I went out to dinner with a group of friends to celebrate one of our friend's birthday. Out of 16 of us there were only 4 men. We ate, drank, laughed a lot. The service was kinda slow but we didn't really care. Things started winding down and we start digging in our purses. 1/3

Here I am again, up at 3am in the morning cuz my brain decided it was time. Thinking about 2024 and how it really put me back into the survival mode I'd worked so hard to escape from. So much happened that changed my POV of family, friends, work, and society. It wasn't all bad but... 1-

I made oatmeal and put protein powder in it. Increased the coconut milk to 1.25 cups and still it was disgusting. I think I made it wrong or something.

Nobody talks about the low key resentment people in their late 30's - 50 have when they see that their parents actually have the capability of being great parents as proven by the way they patented the kids from second/third marriage. We're like starter kids they get to practice with.
