It is astounding that we've let our pavements turn into roads. There is literally nowhere to go now with police currently powerless to enforce without legislation in place. This is also a major public health issue as a lot of people either don't go out or drive everywhere.

On 27 Nov, ten of the UK’s leading experts briefed 1,250 politicians and other leaders with the latest implications of the climate crisis for health, food, national security and the economy. It barely registered in the mainstream newsmedia but here is a brilliant summary from ‘Just Have a Think’. 🧵

Jeez. Our justice system is glacial, especially where it really matters. 17 months to get a conviction in a very clear cut case. No justice no peace. There should be a maximum period for all cases of manslaughter/murder between arrest & trial.

campaigning so strongly on toilet availability. It is a matter of public health and human dignity and also an issue of safety - if people are distracted by needing a toilet when driving a bus, that’s a risk that can be designed out by providing toilets.

The more details that emerge about the train attack, the more likely it seems to have been a random horror; the result of catastrophic m/h breakdown. And the more disgusting it becomes that bad faith agitators, desperate for validation of their racism have tried (and succeeded) in politicising it.
