Halloween is over, but the spirit can live on! Stumpkin is a cute and strange little book about a pumpkin without a stem. I got to combine a lot of my favorite Halloween staples in this Novel Effect soundscape. Any guesses at what those inspirations are?

Rereading The Hobbit as an adult casts Gandalf in a new light: an immortal who's lost touch with mortal timescales. Whenever he needs a hobbit for some adventure, he pops by the Shire to recruit that one hobbit he knows. If that guy's too old or dead, Gandalf harasses their next of kin instead
