Starting next week the #SOMECO team will do fieldwork in Nauvo, in the Archipelago Sea, Finland. I got a head start by doing a workshop with fifth and sixth graders today. Tonight I recorded the #soundscape of #Cembra from distance at 8.00-8.30 pm. Most prominent sounds were: -Grasshoppers -Cuckoo birds (cuclus canorus) -Mopeds -Church bells (from four different villages) -Football players Never have I listen to a football game from a fantastic place like this.

A nice day in Cembra. We were invited to two baitas ("huts") and hiked up to Lago Santo. Our hosts sang a very moving song in honor of the Pope. In the evening at 8pm several church bells in the Cembra valley rang for a long time. Probably related to the Pope's death. #someco #soundscape

We have had som very interesting days in #Cembra so far. Lots of nice people, sounds and varying weather. Yesterday was #listeningwalk day.
