OK success finally after 2 hours of trying, thanks to tips found on Reddit not sure how accessible this system is for all families without any evident tech support beyond a list of tips that didn’t address the likely problem with the video I was uploading—its resolution, not file size

Nathlie Provosty in ‘Threshold Speech’ at Bortolami Gallery. I really enjoyed the play between concrete planes of color and trompeloeil effects that tilt and shift the surfaces to jagged effect, especially at this monumental scale.

Nicole Eisenman has a great

show at 52 Walker Street showing possibilities between representation & the invention of images & meaning through material & scale. These connect to the lineage of grand history & religious paintings while subverting what is a patriarchal form.

New James Siena at Miles McEnery. Right now I’m thinking a lot about black & white, so this caught my eye, but there’s an intriguing sense of color through the whole show, and the work on canvas results in diaphanous light emanating past an irregular network.

A great suite of Joan Mitchell drawings as a part of ‘To Define a Feeling, Joan Mitchell 1960 - 1965’ at David Zwirner gallery. I love the use of heavy black charcoal to build a sense of shifting masses out of raw gesture.

From this minister's op-ed: "People wanting to experience God are more likely to meet the Divine trying to shut down the Broadview, Illinois, ICE facility than we ever were in church...God does not live in our houses of worship, but...with those who are bearing the brunt of cruelty in this moment."

yesterday I observed myself put all my rage in a little black box so I could get through the day last night I dreamed about screaming at people: first, a smug dirtbag misogynist—I yelled that he lacked moral courage & then a transphobe, at whom I yelled fuck you fuck you as I chased them away

Any “deal” that ends with Dems just getting a pinky promise in return is a mistake. The American people are suffering because Republicans refuse to stop healthcare costs from skyrocketing. An agreement that doesn’t fix that reality falls massively short.

I love that Zohran did not praise Cuomo in his speech. You absolutely do not have to say nice things about bad people. We should normalize that in “polite” politics: Praising bad people is not actually “civility.”

origin of this sign is that back in the day I’d have my then-boyfriend-now-husband write “Rae ♥️ NYC” on my race tee & sometimes someone would say “New York loves you too!” as I ran by & I loved that so much & want to share that feeling with other runners
