Wholesome day* - made a stew, went for a drive and walk on the coast path, had hot sauna and later ate stew under the stars. *apart from the big shop on way home - made worse with not having a coin for the trolley

2010. I’d just moved back to North Wales after almost 10 years away - Leeds and Cardiff. Lived in this house with no central heating and had to carry coal up the hill as no car access. Crossing everything for another snowstorm like this!

I think this new iOS update is going to improve my typing on my phone. Constantly battled with hitting . (Full stop / period) instead of space bar. Although the UI is slightly off to me at first, I’m typing much smoother and with less errors Is it just me?

Example 99 for why I didn’t use the Welsh language option of a service. A new one: m&s Shrewsbury till froze and crashed when I selected Welsh. Moved to another till, and selected English.. in case it happened again. Had a train to catch… in a rush.

A mini-solo adventure for a few hours today. Abererch - had beach mostly to myself. Between the water logged land and the overgrown brambles and ferns, there were many potential dead ends. But i carried on, jumped a few gates, fences, and many many puddles!

Our main supermarket, my GP, my hairdresser. All under 6 foot of water. The newly renovated and restored pub on the river. Destroyed having literally just reopened.

So much rain coming down relentlessly all day. A5 between Tregarth and Bethesda was barely passable. A BMW started to smoke just after this and got a bit buoyant. 1.5C exceeded. More scenes like this to come, more frequently, and closer and closer to home.

If Severe warnings have been issued, has an emergency alert ‼️ notification been issued in the area? Or is that only enabled when it’s UK or England severe warnings? Curious. Asking from personal perspective here and not having a go at all the agencies working hard around the clock tonight

Yeah I've not seen much flood stuff on here either. Currently there are about 25 flood warnings and 36 flood alerts when I put Glos into check for flooding so would expect more
