I had a great morning Microsoft’s Seattle quantum lab - they don’t let many people in. This is its Majorana 1 chip, a potentially significant breakthrough which is currently facing a lot of scientific scrutiny

Microsoft’s Redmond campus treehouses are available for all staff to work in. Unfortunately they lack kitchens or bathrooms or perhaps that’s to stop people moving in!

I’m so sad to hear that Bill Dare has died. Legendary UK comedy producer. We last spoke around 18 months ago. He sent me a very polite email introducing himself and asking if I would mind having a cameo in something he was developing for Radio4. He was brilliant. Thinking of his family.
