Every time I think about what sort of Age of Sigmar video games would be cool, I then also start wondering about how you go about starting a design studio up without enormous piles of cash and without staking your house on it, because 'make them yourself' has a certain appeal.

Trying to sell myself as a creative is always daunting. 'I've done cool stuff - please hire me to do cool stuff!'

Great experience getting my painted Skaven AoS army onto the battlefield for the first time! Had a good game at the Bolter LGS here in Wrocław. (Well, painted apart from the Gnawholes but those are right gits to paint).

Why does invoicing a company, for the money I am due from them, feel rather intrusive? Completely normal situation, nothing awry - I just feel oddly awkward firing an invoice off to the nice person who processes it and makes money land in my bank account.

I certainly wouldn't argue that the Night Runner miniatures have aged well, and they're definitely in need of an update, but there's something quite pleasant in painting minis like these that are relatively nice and simple in design.

Huh. Random new Idoneth Deepkin minis reveal in the photos for today's Sons of Behemat article? That's an odd one - but not unwelcome, given how fantastic those new minis are looking!

Isopropyl alcohol does an amazing job taking Citadel primer spray off minis. Now I just need to wait for it to warm up a little so I don't make the same mistake I did last time with the primer...

Delivered the first draft of a novel today, and I feel genuinely bad for my poor editor who now has to go over it. At least when I was writing it, it was only I who had to suffer!

Damn. Did some spray priming in the garage but it was still a bit cold. These Night Runners are already looking their age, design-wise, but now they've also got a bad primer layer to add to their existing visual issues.

I am hugely biased as I wrote the mechanics for Solemn Vale, but I definitely recommend DV's games ;)

Rewarded myself for a good days' writing with Clair Obscur. This is... pretty damn good so far.

Written this swathe of the draft four times and it just didn't work. Writing it the fifth time, and now... it just does? Why couldn't I have managed this the first time? Writing is a sort of insane alchemy.

I need some sort of push to build my ratling guns and get them and my night runners painted up. 2000 points of Skaven is within my grasp!
