Have seen the first review of ‘Echoes of Memory’ which has arrived a little early in places. Bottom line: “4/5. Conclusion: A good book, worth the read. Fun, action-packed, reveals a ton of Thunder's Edge lore (or at least seems to), while leaving even more questions to be answered.” I’ll take it!

Last night’s dream involved being a last minute extra in a LRP-inspired musical that involved zombies rising during one number, who’d previously been concealed beneath navy blue bath towels. My brain is a weird place.

In a strangely ironic twist, the final piece of music I selected for me dad’s funeral (all three pieces being from films) was ‘Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head’. RIP Robert Redford.

Later today, we will be saying a final goodbye to me dad. I’ve called him ‘me dad’ for years, and I don’t imagine that will ever stop.

Today I learned that you can't put whole coconuts in a coffin. Part of me that wonders how it came to pass that someone put a whole coconut in a coffin so that they found out you *couldn't* put a whole coconut in a coffin, and that it was probably a startling discovery. The things you learn.

I called some of the people from Dad's phone list earlier and their reactions were almost identical in that they regretted not having spoken to him more recently. If there's someone you've been thinking about speaking to, don't think about it. Do it.

Very much me for the past two days.

Just a shout-out to all of you who’ve offered your warmth and condolences in the last couple of days. Thank you. It dulls the edge of the grief and means ever so much.

After 87 years on this crazy planet, my dad closed his eyes for the last time last night. He was very peaceful at the end, his face turned to the window and the last of the day’s sunshine.

My dad is very poorly and in hospital. We’ve not always seen eye to eye over the years, but I love him and I’ve dropped everything to be down here with him. His prognosis isn’t great: we are in the ‘keeping him comfortable’ phase.

I just saw this and it made me smile. You’re never too old to give up on your dreams.

I am just finished with edits on part three of four. The end is so close I can taste it. It tastes like blackberries.

In tonight’s episode of Mary, Mungo and Midge, that chaotic mouse has already got a stamp stuck to his arse. They’re off to post a letter. “Mind you don’t fall into the post box, Midge,” cautions Mungo, who wouldn’t know fun if it bit him in the face. You can guess what happened next.

Is anybody else watching ‘Destination X’? Would anybody else not object if they just yeeted that nasty little piece of work, Saskia, off the bus?

I went down a YouTube rabbit hole of old children’s TV shows I watched when I was Very Small last night. I watched the first episode of Mary, Mungo and Midge and then an episode of Pipkins. That mouse was a freewheeling agent of chaos.

Me: looks out window, sees rain. “Haha! That’s why I have an umbrella.” Also me: “…which is on the arm of the chair at home.” Rolled a nat 1 on Preparation.

Absolutely anybody who thinks the second picture is somehow better than the first really needs to give their head a wobble. Something beautiful turned into something cold and completely without character.
