Decided to make attempt number XX at learning programming at age 43. I'm a few days in with the Pico-8 and starting to understand some things I didn't before and realising that a major barrier for me is that I struggle both to visualise things in my head and to understand abstraction.

My mornings are precious. I get up a good 45 minutes earlier than I *have* to so I can sit and do something nice and start my day gentle. So it’s real fun when I sit down to play a game before work and I have to deal with this.
