The courgette experiment is making a strong argument for a restaging next year: first time ever eating filled, baked blossoms - and from my own terrace garden, too. Yum. 🌱

First blossom on the chilis! (they had a rough, windy start this year once they moved outside, but have recovered nicely. Only three small plants this year - grown from organic seeds from a friend's mom, friend, billed simply as "chili pepper - spice only." I'm curious to see what variety they are)

The zucchini plants are thriving! 🌱 (the ants and I still have a quarrel over ownership of the blossoms)

The facility cleaning crew showed up on Thursday. All my mallows-of-the-cracks are gone. Every blade of green outside of a flowerpot is gone. Sigh. 🌱

Four days of discussions and connections at Offene Räume/Open Spaces in Leipzig this past week - the 16th congress of the German Association for Theatre Studies (gtw), June 12-15. Wonderful to have so many students present, also from #tfmvienna!

Just saved this this little bumble buddy from batting his head against the hallway windows and let him out onto my lavender. The first half hour, he just clung to it in exhaustion, but now he's crawling around and enjoying a leisurely breakfast. 🐝 🌱

The thing about me and gardening: I don't have a garden. I don't even have a balcony. But in front of our office windows, there runs this sunny, but sad stretch of tiled terrace. Nobody ever goes out there (probably because there's no doors). And one day I thought, "What if...?" 🌱 #UrbanGardening

The "Rossini in Vienna" (2023) proceedings volume is out - "published in a volume where the cover image is an 1800s cocoa ad": done ✅ I would check out the Senici and the Beghelli contributions first! (My own is on second-row singers, performativity and embodied vocality in Rossini singing).
