The European Violence in Psychiatry Research Group (EViPRG) is a mental health research-focused network with more than 120 members in Europe. The vision is to work together to reduce coercion in mental health services, improve competency and quality of practice & address ongoing human rights issues.

🧠VIOLENCE PREVENTION IN PSYCHIATRY: Safewards model led to 300 interventions to reduce conflict and containment in wards. 10 were tested in a cluster randomized trial across 31 wards in 15 hospitals, resulting in a 15% decrease in conflict and a 24% decrease in containment rates. www.safewards.net
