MLB Network conducted the most significant/newsworthy interview in WBC history. They had a manager saying his team had advanced when they hadn't. And they took that video down as soon as they realized its significance and newsworthiness.

In that same interview Tuesday morning, DeRosa said he wanted to get Paul Goldschmidt into the game to get him some playing time. Goldschmidt, who had not started any of Team USA's games so far, replaced Bryce Harper in the starting lineup. Harper pinch hit for Goldschmidt in the eighth inning.

Just filed our WBC power rankings. To do so I looked at every player I could. There are 314 pitchers on prelim rosters. We were able to get velo data on 308 of them. That's easy for US/Japan/DR. Much more fun with Czechia, Brazil, Australia and all.
