I spent this past week in Chile. Santiago may be the most pleasant large city I have ever visited. The Salar de Atacama is surreal. Spending any time outside the USA these days, you appreciate how much un-needed stress Americans experience on a daily basis.

In Columbia, more than half the registered motor vehicles are motorcycles. These lightweight single cylinder bikes are very popular. Inexpensive everyday transportation, capable on or off road. Looks like fun.

Bohio Restaurant in Cali Columbia. Great spot. Like many establishments in Cali they have a resident dog. The dogs in Columbia are so mellow and well adjusted compared to dogs in the US. Hmmm, interesting.

I spent last week in Cali Columbia. The city is very lively, and the people are friendly and unpretentious. Cuisine is tasty and healthy.

It was super fun wearing the Spider Gwen mask and trying to rollerskate at the same time. After a few minutes thr lenses fogged ip so much that I was pretty much blind and had to hold my partners’ arm for guidance.

More pics from Ben and Anna’s wedding last weekend. Ben is in the tux, me with my older sister Tina, Ben’s mom. Another pic is Evlin with Ben’s sister Amanda. Tina, Ben and Amanda lost their spouse and dad Trevor about 20 years ago to a sudden cardiac failure. We are very proud of them all.

My daughter Evlin (in green dress) and I were very proud to attend the wedding of my nephew Ben and his beautiful bride Anna, in Wilmington NC last weekend. We met lots of nice people, of all ages and backgrounds. It was the first time most of my relatives have seen me as Dae Dae.

A little later, at close to sunset, a modest hatch started up. It looked like mayflies. So I switched back to my fly rod.

Then my partner found this really cool frog.

So I switched to a spinner and caught a beautiful wild Cutthroat Trout right along the bank on the far side. In this video I take my eye off my lure for one second and that is right when a trout tries to hit my spinner.

We went fishing on the Cedar River near Ravensdale Washington yesterday evening. There are plenty of trout here. They were not interested in my flies though.

I went swimming in Puget Sound today.
