People who have transitioned from Substack to Ghost, a question: Since I have done so, I have lost about 30 subscribers, people who I transitioned to Ghost, and then they unsubscribed from the newsletter after a couple emails. Has this happened to anyone else?

For example if you wanted to stock up on the fire Native Studies books by: Luis Carcamo Huechante, Jodi Byrd, and/or un servidor.

I’m trying to write about why my father was adopted, and every time, every single time, it’s a lacerating feeling.

I’ve turned my snark to a 10. Every time I get an email suggesting I should be interested in some hard science thing, some mega powered physics, or quantum or whatever, I'm replying, "I would like to know if any Indigenous people are involved, so l can support them."

I’m trying to understand the legal ambivalence about American Indians and birthright citizenship. (Not that I think US citizenship is all that.) But is the implication that being born NDN on a reservation is not considered the US? Or is it that we are citizens by statute rather than birthright?
