It won't. Under PR he'd need to get 50+% of the votes to get into power (on his own). Under FPTP he'd only need ~33%, just like Labour did last year!!! And should another party agree to go into coalition with him, his policies would be diluted accordingly.

Just like Mayors shouldn’t be elected by a small minority, neither should MPs - or governments. If we stick with FPTP, in four years we risk being ruled by a government chosen by less than a third of voters. FPTP is not a suitable system for any elections - local or general.

WE DID IT!!! The government has just announced that it´s scrapping FPTP for mayoral elections. In May, this absurd system resulted in some Mayors being elected on as little as 25% of the vote. This is a victory of communities around the country. But it's just the beginning...
