Made a ginger beer today, extra pale ale malt, loads of ginger and a little bit of sugar. Hit all my numbers so hopefully it comes out alright.

Been a bit slow on the brewing recently, a buddy in work gave me this DĂĽsseldorf alt kit so I've had a go on Thursday Also turned this cheap 33l AliExpress SS pan into a fermenter so we'll see how that goes.

Chat out of Hell is cracking on with series 5! Continuing the theme of doing themes, this episode we take a look at two rockin' songs about heroes. And somehow made it through the whole thing without once talking about Cadbury's Heroes. Well done us.

Not the best hop harvest this year, got a bit more than pictured but only 200g in the end. Vacuum sealed and popped in the freezer. Will be enough to finish my spring golden ale next year. Variety: Goldings

Got a pile of sloes off a buddy so got a couple of litres of sloe gin started for Xmas! The sloes were frozen, so the sugar hasn't fully dissolved yet, will probably take a day or two with occasional shaking I'd think.

Bottled 2 ales today: a 6% attempt at Jakehead and a 3.4% second running golden ale with last year's garden grown hops. Accidentally over primed the JH at 3.1 vols of CO2 though, so I'm probably in for a few surprises...
