#OTD in 1811, poet and essayist Arthur Henry Hallam was born to Julia Elton Hallam and the historian Henry Hallam, in Marylebone. Arthur is now perhaps best known as being a close friend of Alfred Tennyson, and the subject of Tennyson's elegy In Memoriam A.H.H.

St Andrew's Sonning Berkshire. Henry Woodyer's spectacular 1875 reredos comprising saints is unusual for this area. Woodyer had previously engaged in a comprehensive reorganisation of the nave in 1852. The roof painting is by Bodley between 1903 - 1906.
