3/3 a hell of a lot later I found out about Cy Twombly and his late 60s work. and automatic writing. a lot later... like yesterday, discovered it was a thing. scribblecore. who knew? who cares? won't be invited to that cafeteria table either. methinks.

never thought of the illustration possibilities til 2018. just the soothing, in the flow intensity of process never thought of myself as an artist either. that was something special. done by special people with special secret powers. not me. just another cool kids table i'd never get to sit at.

2/ they started as autistic/auDHD stims. in jr high... roughly 1966... doodling on 3-ring binder covers. just two stroke & three stroke cross-hatching cuz I was bored in class. sometimes images emerged. sometimes I threw in little sayings.
