Eulalie left him at those gates to protect his aether. To keep him from the taint his father had courted so recklessly. Aurelius, who has never met either of them, found a forbidden grimoire as a young boy because he was curious. The astrologian turns over a card she didn't want to draw...

An astrologian draws her cards and sees silver eyes she recognises... she closes the deck. A hooded mage reviews research notes with renewed interest. The subject's aether inheritance: exceptional. Aurelius thinks that his story started at a library door. But, it started much earlier than that.

Aurelius was born in Mor Dhona, or so records say. He knows not what he'd look for. What he knows is someone tucked a chocobo feather in with him when they left him at Ishgard's gates. He's worn it ever since. He thinks it's just a nice feather. It belonged to his mother's chocobo. #aurelius_lore
