Aurelius' aether is unstable, builds up faster than it disperses. So when he equips Reaper, it goes eerie still and quiet. That's why re-equipping Scholar after a long time is overwhelming. He feels like everything is too sensitive and loud. He channels too much aether and it backfires badly.

After Camp Broken Glass, Aurelius took up the Reaper soulstone and barely put it down. Blasphemy after blasphemy, the scythe answered every time, until "efficient" was simply how he moved. "Ugh, enough with the gloomy armour. I'd like the scholar back for one meal," Alisaie chided at dinner time.

The game has spent multiple expansions training us in a specific grammar of loss: an ally falls, the cycle continues, a story gets told, and the WoL carries someone's memory forward as fuel for going on. But here, it goes against the very way the game has taught us to grieve.

And here, the horror is aimed from the opposite direction. What if everything that made someone uniquely themselves cannot endure? Even in the minds of the people who loved them.

Victims afflicted by dynamis don't simply die in the usual sense. The horror is that their aether is destroyed to the point that they no longer enter the cycle as they should due to despair. The implication is not merely mortality, but a rupture in the star's natural process.

OH ANOTHER ONE. You want to get better at the game? Go main Summoner. "BuT tHaT's ThE eAsY jO-" THATS THE POINT. Go play summoner, go learn summoner, until you can summoner in your sleep. Then. Pay attention to the rest of your party. Gain Awareness for your surroundings.

Maybe it's just my love for dungeon mechanics, but if you wipe, don't rush the next pull. Stop and unpack it! What was the attack's name? What were the visual cues? What are you gonna try differently? Figuring out the puzzle is half the fun, and it completely changes how you play! 🧩✨
