//Wow, this music in Old Sharlayan is already... how do I even describe it? There's a real sense of harrowing finality—it's intimidating yet beautiful at the same time. This already feels like QUALITY from the first quest, the environment and ambience is exquisite.

It's because during a spec you stand up for EVERY caught fish (no issues there) - but when you SIT DOWN, your animation locked and can not cast out while in the sitting animation. So you lose at least 1s per catch.

A gentle reminder with more people doing Ocean Fishing for mogtomes. 1) Sitting (specifically during spectral currents) is a point loss 2) The only way to actively ruin a boat for everyone else is by AFKing during a stop. Spec chance is based on # of people on the boat and assumes everyone fishes.

Aurelius is still a bit incomplete, because I ran around as 'Casra Talis' for ARR-HW+ then felt the story would be more immersive if I made a proper WoL! So I changed him permanently. (Casra is now a separate alt) So yeah, haven't had a chance to flesh out Aurelius' ARR/HW self.

Improvise in-game! Usually it'll be in a certain area of the MSQ. Dialogue of characters is what gets things rolling first, but sometimes it can be unique like an item or armor a retainer brought back!

Tip: if you are doing Ocean Fishing for Mogtomes, but are finding the indigo route inconsistent with points -- I'd consider giving the Ruby Route a try. Point ceiling isn't as high as Indigo routes, but the points are more consistent - you may find better luck there. #FFXIV

I like Aurelius because he's a total 180 from the characters I usually tend to write. He lets me flourish my love for literature, wordplay and whimsy. He's also cute. ( ´ ꒳ ` ) ♡ There are many ways we can realistically incorporate our WoLs and I think that is fantastic. ❤️
