If you were there, what did yoh make of the first session?

The new WMS Treasurer is Ichizo Nishino. Ichizo has been a member of the WMS Executive Board since 2007 and hosted the WMS 15th anniversary Congress in Koamamoto, Japan in 2010. He will also host WMS 2026 in Hiroshima, Japan.

The new WMS Secretary is Gina Ravenscroft @ginaravenscroft.bsky.social. Gina was first elected to the WMS Executive Board in 2022 and has served as the WMS Scientific Programme Committee Chair.

The new WMS President is Laurent Servais. Laurent was first elected to the WMS Executive Board in 2018 and became WMS Secretary at the Executive Board meeting at WMS 2018 in Copenhagen. He served as Secretary for six years and will now be our President.

Meet our new WMS Executive Board. Featuring eight newly elected members, including two early to mid-career representatives, the Executive Board is our decision-making body. More than 300 of our members voted in our recent election and these 16 people represent our entire membership.
