This is way overdue, but here's my ranking for all 26 books of The Rev. W. Awdry's Railway Series books. Can't do Christopher's in this b/c I only have 4 of his 16 books. My favorite is Gordon the Big Engine and my weakest book (though not a bad one) is Little Old Engine (prefer Gallant more).

Neil being preserved, cool names for pre-NWR engines, the announcement of Aubrey (including her being the first RWS female steam loco on Sodor I believe), another pannier as pilot, and much more: feels so right <3333.

Although the lighting in this looks good, I'm not keen on the face or bouncing. I'm against Thomas being under corporate ownership, and corporations more widely. How much democracy goes into the decision-making? They'll put profit first. Even if the show has good writing, I have no trust.

I'd like to know how much the show's regression through BWBA was down to Mattel etc. acting on what kids told them they wanted, or short-termism based on motives including profit. I suspect the latter.
