The scale and coordination of the attacks sweeping across Mali 🇲🇱 is unprecedented, yet not surprising. And the collapse of the military junta (in the near future) is an outcome that cannot be ruled out. (A convoy of armed fighters, as seen in Kati, near Bamako) Thinking of my friends in Mali.

Ivm de sluimerende onrust in Zuid-Sudan, haal ik dit stuk uit 2020 nogmaals van stal. Ik ontmoette Akau (nieuwe artiestennaam) in 2018 in Juba, toen er net sprake was van een fragiele wapenstilstand. Nu de kogels weer vliegen in de Upper Nile, roepen Akau en leeftijdsgenoten andermaal op tot vrede.
