Meet Los Angeles Detectives Isaac Miller and Tommy Carter, the protagonists of California Cannibal: Chapter 1. They are a little bit of Somerset and Mills from Se7en and a little bit of Murtaugh and Riggs from Lethal Weapon. But when think about it, they very Luke Cage and Iron Fist Danny Rand, too.

Se7en is one of my favorite movies. There is a bit of Somerset and Mills in my detectives, Isaac Miller and Tommy Carter. I knew I wanted to homage the movie poster but I had no clue May Coutinho would knock it out of the park. Jérôme Gagnon brought it all together perfectly with the lettering.

With hindsight being 20/20, I should have had made homage covers for California Cannibal: Chapter 1 based on Cannibal Coprse covers. Those would have paired well with my horror movie poster homages. I guess there is always the next chapter.

California Cannibal: Chapter 1 just broke $1000 which means we are stalking the first stretch goal on Kickstarter! This will give backers four preview pages of Chapter 2! What is the premise of the comic book? It’s what if Somerset and Mills from Se7en investigate C.H.U.D.

The first 24 hours of funding for California Cannibal: Chapter 1 were very successful. If you have not backed the campaign there is still plenty of time to do so. Hopefully within the first 48 hours the first stretch goal can be reached.

My only complaint about The Punisher: One More Kill is that it gave us Hatebreed. I complain because there is no way we get more of them when Frank shows up in Spider Man No Way Home and that’s disappointing.

Monarch Legacy of Monsters S2 was great. I love that it established that there are more people like Jia and her link to Mothra. All I want for S3 is for Past Lee Shaw to come to the present and be with Keiko. After his conversation with his present self it has to happen.
