My Deadly MTG of Kung Fu deck is looking better and better! Glad to see White Tiger Ava Ayala is getting some love.

Glad to see Luke Cage is an Avenger again but with Daredevil on the team, I’m going to assume this kills any return to The Defenders with Jessica Jones and Iron Fist Danny Rand.

Shang Chi’s MTG card doesn’t have double strike but I can see how his abilities translates to “Deadly Hands.” Now I can start plotting my deck Deadly MTG of Kung Fu.

On this day five years ago, I started this podcast. Never did I think that it would gain the momentum it has now. Never did I think I would meet fans who love Iron Fist and Shang Chi as I do. To all of you who have listened and supported Deadly Podcast of Kung Fu, thank you.

On this day in 2016, the Atlantean Princess Gale debuted in Might Thor 7. As she watched Thor in battle, little did Gale know she would become the Iron Fist and join the Avengers of 1000 AD.

On this day in 1997, Heroes For Hire Volume 1 began. The series ran for 19 issues with one annual that crossed over with Quicksilver. Mainstay members were Iron Fist, Luke Cage and Black Knight. Shang Chi joined the team in the final issues.

Deadly Hands of Kun-Lun 4 is really good. It still has its flaws and is too fast paced for my liking but it sets up for an epic finale!

On this day in 2021, Shang Chi Volume 2 began, continuing legacy numbering from the Master of Kung Fu series. The series ran for 12 issues.

On this day in 2014, Shang Chi would return for Deadly Hands of Kung Fu Volume 2. The mini series ran for four issues

The death of a beloved mother can be the ultimate tool for vengeance or the breaking point down a dark road. This was a choice White Tiger Hector Ayala faced. Happy Mother’s Day!

Mother’s Day can be complicated for some. In Marvel Premiere #15, we meet Shang Chi’s mysterious American mother, making him Chinese American for almost 5 decades. In Shang Chi #4, Volume 2, we meet Jiang Li, who is retconned to be his biological mother.

A mother’s love is so strong that she is willing sacrifice herself to hungry wolves so that her child could live and one day become the Iron Fist Happy Mother’s Day!

On this day in 2018, Lin Lie debuted as Sword Master in Warriors of Three Sovereigns 1.

I cant wait to see Danny Rand and Pei reunited in Kun-Lun. Bad thing is I think it’s going to be heartbreaking because I don’t see him returning to the land of the living and staying as Ghost Fist for while. Listen to the review of Deadly Hands of Kun-Lun 3 on the newest episode!

This moment in Deadly Hand of Kun Lun 3 is awesome this moment is and shows far the mantle of White Tiger has come. I need this expanded upon. The Tiger God tells Ava her body is not ready for what she is trying to do. I can also see the energy of Chiyou causing the disruption.

It’s Revenge of the 5th! Did you know The Empire has a Star Destroyer called Iron Fist? Where is the brand of Shou Lao the Undying?

In this moment we are thinking Iron Fist Lin Lie is going to go Phantom Limb but hear me out. Lin Fong mentions to him about being “satisfied living in someone’s else shadow”. Maybe it’s time to return to Swordmaster soon. Maybe the One Armed Swordmaster?

May The 4th Be With You! Did you know that in the game Star Wars: The Old Republic there is a Mandalorian called Iron Fist?

On this day in 1977, Victor Creed aka Sabretooth made his debut in Iron Fist #14. After returning for a few issues in Power Man and Iron Fist to terrorize Luke Cage and Danny, he would become a recurring villain for the X-Men and the arch nemesis of Wolverine.

At first glance I thought this was Iron Fist Danny Rand from Escape the Eighth City vs Predator. Looking forward to reading this series.

After last week, we are all thinking Luke Cage is part of the Thunderbolts after what Jessica Jones told Daredevil. What if Luke becoming mayor is part of some grand scheme by Valentina Allegra de Fontaine? What if he’s reprogrammed like Osborn did to Danny Rand in the comics?
