Gave a guest lecture to Game Design students at Indiana University today. Tried to stick to my own personal experience with systems design and realized how hard it can be to keep the audiences separate. The experience is for the players, but the _design_ is for the team.

Earnest post, but: a thing I like here is it’s okay to have moments of happiness in public without being broadly scolded, and I believe that sustaining this kind of humanity will be very important as we resist fascism. We have to sustain each other. Making joy isn’t denial, it’s how we will survive

Anyone else heading to Gamescom?

Its hard to keep up with playing games while finishing your own, but finally finished Midnight Suns. It was a lot of fun. I enjoyed living in a Real World House with marvel heroes. Some quibbles with the endgame aside, glad i stuck with it! Anyone want to talk shop about it?
