As of September 11, 2025, Planned Parenthood clinics nationwide have stopped billing for Medicaid services. What This Means for Patients ~Over a million patients who use Medicaid may no longer be able to use their insurance for care at Planned Parenthood.

September 16th is known as Internal Condom Day, a day to bring recognition to a contraceptive form that is rarely highlighted when talking about engaging in protected sex. Internal condoms can be used to prevent pregnancy and STI's, just like an external, but can be inserted vaginally or anally.

Last week YHF headed to DC to discuss how funders can best meet the movement and resource our movements. We sat in on panels, ate at an amazing hole in the wall (shoutout to Players Lounge), and build valuable networks with values aligned individuals!

On Sept. 15, 1963, four Black girls—Addie Mae Collins, Denise McNair, Carole Robertson, & Cynthia Wesley—were murdered in the bombing of 16th St Baptist Church in Birmingham. We honor their memory & recommit to the fight for justice. #BlackHistory

Alabama State University, an HBCU, was 1 of several HBCUs targeted by threats of violence due to a White Supremacist response to the death of Charlie Kirk. He spent his life spewing racist, misogynistic, homophobic, & xenophobic rhetoric. He rejected empathy & profited off the political turmoil.

Suicide prevention is more nuanced than lending an occasional shoulder. Offering true support and addressing root societal causes for depression is beyond necessary. This World Suicide Prevention Day, we would like to offer some resources to aid in reaching accessible care.
