I was out for a walk late this afternoon and came upon a crew of workers and machinery that were digging a hole in the road. I shouted out; "is that the rapture portal" ... to which the reply was "n'ah this is a pipe rupture". They shrugged, I walked on.

I'm so tired of driver lawlessness, and the lack of enforcement. It's an epidemic. I know because I am a pedestrian and/or vehicular cyclist. The closest calls of me being hit is when I am a pedestrian. I'm HYPER aware of how vulnerable I am on roads, others may be more trusting, with bad outcomes😢

Years ago one of my young daughters was on a long distance car ride with my sister ... impatient and constantly asking "are we there yet?". I was out for long rides weeks ago when temperatures were excessively hot, humid, and air quality was terrible, due to the wildfires smoke. It left me congested for days. Today's 125 kilometres ride felt so much better with mid-teens temperature and clean air, although moderate wind was a nemesis.
