In my tiny hometown, one family is in their 43rd year of making donuts. A core Halloween memory for literal generations One man, quiet and shy and always working, takes the night off. Makes a huge vat of soup to keep everyone warm simple kindnesses works of love these are the key to immortality

Seeing kids trick or treat without snow gear continues to be magical for me.
