Looking for portfolio website hosting suggestions. I’m using wordpress and being asked to pay $800 for 3 years (or $600 for 5 years) which is way too much, especially when new customers pay $66 a year. I don’t know how much I can transfer and will probably lose my blog info but this is ridiculous.

So I'm in the early stages of planning out a semi-autobiographical series. I was planning on the series to be MG. I'm doing some writing and I'm pretty sure the events I'm writing about took place when I was 14 and not 10. I could stick with 10, but it's making me rethink my whole story now.

Had a decent meal at a local sushi place Friday. Thought we would be back for sure. I spent all day and part of the night with some kind of stomach problem. Now I’m not so sure. I do think I was slightly allergic to something the gyoza though. Still feeling yucky.

Read an article recently about towels that says towels should last 1-2 years & you should get rid of them when they smell musty. If your towels smell musty, you’ve left them in the washer too long or otherwise left them wet. Even then the smell will come out with a proper wash or two.

Just typed chronic confusion when I meant chronic conditions and honestly it wasn’t completely wrong.

According to my 9 year old: My hoodie pocket is the ONLY place for the pencil he was using. Not where he got it from, not any of the designated pencil holders in the house. My pocket and no where else. He’s home sick today and is trying to catch up on his Christmas gifts. 😂

I was looking at fluffy blanket yarn in Michael’s. I was thinking about making some Mario characters and was upset that I wasn’t finding any skin colored yarn (in any skin color). I was in a hurry & left. It hit me later that maybe flesh colored blankets weren’t high on many people’s lists.

Someone in a local group was asking where the best place was to sleep in a car. I was not only worried for them, but also wondering how they could be so blunt in asking. Folks, it was a camping group. 😂

Had fire near our house early this morning. Someone set it on fire (there was a gas can nearby). The multiple small bags (explosions) woke us up. Glad it did because if the plants caught on fire our house would have been in danger! We have a silly cop out front idling now. 🙄

Finished weaving in the ends on this scarf today. It’s a present for a friend. I found two types of wool to make this. Sadly, I have to give it to my friend. Well not so sad because I don’t think I could wear it anyway, but I do love it so much!

I applied to a writing program. I may not get in because I didn't double space my manuscript. I copy and pasted the guidelines, but apparently there are 2 sets of guidelines. It was really hard to apply with brain fog and chronic pain. This is why it's harder for disabled people to do education.

I made supper a couple nights ago and my son says, “What are you making? You aren’t a chef.” 🙄 You all, I made open face pork sandwiches. The pork was already cooked and in the fridge. I spent 20 maybe minutes making the meal. It wasn’t fancy but ok. #parenting

I’m so excited! I wrote one of the stories in this fantastic anthology! Christina and Olga did such an amazing job putting together this beautiful book. I’m so, so honored to be a part of it. I’d say I can’t believe it’s a finalist, but of course it is. So many wonderful writers in this anthology!

I don’t know what my 9 year old is making. He had tools in his hands and wanted a hammer. He’s glueing and cutting a toilet paper roll. He’s leaving the glue to dry now. The screwdriver, wrench and hammer are still on my bed and I’m worried about what’s going to happen next.

I’m working on this new crochet project for my 9 year old. He wants the potato from Plants vs Zombies. I keep telling myself “trust the process”. Trouble is I’m making this up as I go along and I’m not sure trusting the process counts in this situation. Oh well at least it looks somewhat potatoey.

My kid has been extra irritable lately seemingly for no reason. Turns out he had a fever yesterday and is a bit sick. He seemed mostly fine all day yesterday. Fever is gone today, so hopefully it stays that way. Today he’s talking my ear off about Plants vs Zombies and other things. 😂

Since we have the time, people should really inform themselves about Newsom's specifically loathsome policies/statements against three extremely vulnerable and marginalized groups: the disabled, the unhoused, and trans people.

I hate the idea of Gavin Newsome being president. The goal should not be Democrat Trump. The man is ableist and all kinds of problematic. The way so many people support him is distressing. If he gets in office, I fear for the lives of disabled people in America just as much as I fear for them now.

I'm in the stage of my chronic illness that I'm cold for no reason. I have 3 sweaters on and a long sleeved shirt. Two pairs of socks. Only one pair of pants, but I'm going to see how I feel in a few minutes. Prolly should get a blanket too.

There was a person jay walking across the street yesterday. I was really invested in them getting crossed the street quickly. I was making noises and small gestures they couldn’t see. I didn’t want them to get hit by a car! I was the only car in the area and there was no chance of me hitting them.
