I made supper a couple nights ago and my son says, “What are you making? You aren’t a chef.” 🙄 You all, I made open face pork sandwiches. The pork was already cooked and in the fridge. I spent 20 maybe minutes making the meal. It wasn’t fancy but ok. #parenting

I’m so excited! I wrote one of the stories in this fantastic anthology! Christina and Olga did such an amazing job putting together this beautiful book. I’m so, so honored to be a part of it. I’d say I can’t believe it’s a finalist, but of course it is. So many wonderful writers in this anthology!

I don’t know what my 9 year old is making. He had tools in his hands and wanted a hammer. He’s glueing and cutting a toilet paper roll. He’s leaving the glue to dry now. The screwdriver, wrench and hammer are still on my bed and I’m worried about what’s going to happen next.

I’m working on this new crochet project for my 9 year old. He wants the potato from Plants vs Zombies. I keep telling myself “trust the process”. Trouble is I’m making this up as I go along and I’m not sure trusting the process counts in this situation. Oh well at least it looks somewhat potatoey.

My kid has been extra irritable lately seemingly for no reason. Turns out he had a fever yesterday and is a bit sick. He seemed mostly fine all day yesterday. Fever is gone today, so hopefully it stays that way. Today he’s talking my ear off about Plants vs Zombies and other things. 😂

I hate the idea of Gavin Newsome being president. The goal should not be Democrat Trump. The man is ableist and all kinds of problematic. The way so many people support him is distressing. If he gets in office, I fear for the lives of disabled people in America just as much as I fear for them now.

I'm in the stage of my chronic illness that I'm cold for no reason. I have 3 sweaters on and a long sleeved shirt. Two pairs of socks. Only one pair of pants, but I'm going to see how I feel in a few minutes. Prolly should get a blanket too.

Finally finished my first basket! It is huge, but should work for my yarn. If you see ends I haven’t woven in, no you didn’t. Those were woven in after the picture was taken. Now I have to move on to something else! Yay, but also boo!

My left hand isn’t liking me right now. I hand wrote two pages with my right hand. My left hand has literally not done anything. Still it insists that it’s worked too hard. There will continue to be a sharp pain in my wrist until the keyboard is turned the right way. Spoiler: there is no right way.

I know that teenagers can be moody. I know they are filled with angst. They can yell at you one minute and then hug you the next. I was not prepared for what my kid called me today: Adult That’s right, my kid called me an adult. I’ve never been so insulted in my life! #parentingproblems

I don’t know why I have to say this, but just because someone is a Democrat it doesn’t mean they are a good person. Many Democrats don’t care about those who are disabled and/or trans. Democrat does not mean they have your best interests in mind. If it did, we would not be in this mess right now.

Keep getting emails that say, “will I vote democrat?” I’m considered an overseas voter. If I don’t fill out the forms to register (for the year) 2 months before an election I’m not going to be able to vote in the election. The process takes too long! Oversea voters have to reregister every year.

Some of you all seem to know the time and the day well for an event in which no one knows the time nor the day.

So what time is the rapture tomorrow? I want to make sure to mark myself safe. I don’t want my family, friends and followers to worry.

Update: 9 year old burnt himself (lightly) on the pan. He was not making pancakes. 😂 9 year old has his pancakes and is singing while he eats them.

My 9 year old: Where is the flour? Me: it’s in storage, why? Him: I need to make pancakes. Some context: he’s never made pancakes in his life so there is no way this could go wrong.

Got my coffee this morning. It either has almond milk in it or it’s telling me it can think. Either way I’m drinking it.

Does any other writer or artist have the problem of finding a scrap piece of paper to scribble on? I mean I have a ton of paper, but using that paper to see if a pen works, or to jot down a note about an appointment feels like a waste. Is this just me?

Finished it! Got it done last night. Are there things I wish I had done differently? Yep. Still done. Embroidered his name on it today. He’s really happy with his pencil case.

Im driving my kid to school and I see some teens walking away from the school 10 minutes before they go. I ask my teen where they are going. Teens: Are they white girls? White girls are always getting coffee. Especially if they are blonde. I mean, he’s not wrong. 😂
