Thanksgiving Break day 5/5. I just told my kid that the pint of ice cream I was eating was poison. But it’s not harmful to momma’s which is why I can have it. (He’d already had his dessert and didn’t need more sugar)

Thanksgiving Break day 1/5. How’s it only 10am when I’ve been awake for 14 hours already? We’ve already had breakfast, played, watched tv, and played some more.

I consider myself Not Dumb but I have never successfully built a piece of Ikea furniture on the first attempt. Today’s enemy was a 6 piece kid’s bench.

The bravest thing I do on a regular basis is wear a white t-shirt.

Me: *takes one bite of dinner* My 4yo: I have to poop! Without fail, multiple times a week, this will happen. And then my meal is interrupted with having to clean him up.

If you’re wondering how parenting a toddler is going— We put our son’s treats in a vending machine that he has to earn. So idk.. good? (Help me. 3 year olds are mean af 😭)

Happy Lunar New Year! I crocheted red eggs for my son and his classmates. These are meant to be worn as a necklace to bring good luck and fortune in the new year. Traditional methods call for dyed real eggs. It’s a cherished Iu Mien tradition that I’m so happy to share with my kiddo.

We’ve been potty training for the last week and have had some accidents, as to be expected. I’ve turned to bribery. Me: If you do your next poop in the toilet, I’ll give you 10 [mini] marshmallows! (Which is a top tier treat for him) Kiddo: One marshmallow!! Great negotiation tactics, this one.

Me: This year, when it’s your birthday, you’re going to be 4 years old! Do you know what that means? Kiddo: No. Me: It means you get to go to camp! Do you know what camp is? Kiddo: Yeah! Camp is about marshmallows!

My 2024 resolution was to learn how to crochet. I bought two kits from Woobles (Voldemort and a ginger bread man). My final project for the year is this beautiful blanket. 103 rows, 149 stitches per row, 3 border rounds. I’ve made countless things in between and now have a hobby I really love.

Gravity Well is hosting our annual holiday party and events this week which means remote employees are storming the LA office. I’m stoked to see all my favorite people in person!

I’ve played tennis on/off for the past 20 years. I recently signed up for classes through my local parks and rec dept. Tonight is the first class and I’m so thankful for the distraction!

Parenting a toddler is missing them when they’re not around but being so annoyed at them when they are.
