I've never felt right having a patreon because I've never been in a position to make "exclusive content" I've kinda always felt that once I started doing that, I'd give people a right to complain about what I create; an entitlement to my work that made me uncomfortable.

I’m glad to see more artists turn away from the overproduction norm of Patreon and Ko-Fi and use the platforms more like tip jars. We’re all so tired already, we shouldn’t have to burn ourselves out even more for a couple extra bucks a month

I don't think motivating people to move to other platforms to avoid the stupid censorship rules is a good solution. Quite the opposite. There is NO SAFE space for artists nowadays, if we don't fight back this will only get worse and worse
